Sharp portrait
This is a portrait of Abraham Sharp, born in 1653 and died in 1742. Born at Horton Hall in Little Horton, Bradford, Sharp went on to be a well-respected and accomplished mathematician and astronomer, rubbing shoulders with Sir Isaac Newton and working alongside royal astronomer John Flamsteed.
