Trilobite

My trilobite. One of the first creatures to develop complex eyes, about 400 million years ago. Seen a lot of changes since then. It used to scuttle on a Devonian ocean shelf. Now it maintains a stony silence in Saltaire, in an Edwardian terrace on a wooden shelf. It reminds me of the wonders of evolution and my time as a geologist, eons ago.
